3 Days Treck
If you feel like you want to explore more the jungle and look for unique wildlife, the 3 days 2 nights suits you well! Go deeper in the Gunung Leuser National Park and get more chance to discover the 8 species of primates living in here. Experience 2 nights in the jungle and enjoy two different campsites at the riverside and near a waterfall. On the last day, a three hours walk will take you to the river bank to enjoy a last jungle lunch before a raft ride down Bohorok River will bring you back to Bukit Lawang.

Itinerary
Day 1: Jungle Trekking Begins
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at 9:00 AM. Start with a scenic walk along the river and uphill through rubber plantations to the entrance of Gunung Leuser National Park.
Once in the jungle, keep an eye out for semi-wild Sumatran Orangutans! You’ll have the chance to observe them swinging in the trees and caring for their babies.
Continue trekking through the rainforest, stopping for a tasty snack of tropical fruits.
Hike for another hour to reach stunning viewpoints overlooking the Bohorok River valley.
After a jungle lunch, trek to your overnight campsite, spotting wildlife like Long Tail and Pig Tail Macaques, Thomas Leaf Monkeys, and Monitor Lizards. Arrive around 4:00 PM and relax by a waterfall or riverside with tea or coffee. Take a refreshing swim while your guides prepare a delicious dinner of curry and rice. After dinner, unwind around the bonfire with games and stories.
Sleep under a bamboo-framed tent, lulled by the sounds of the jungle!
Day 2: More Jungle Exploration
Wake up to a homemade breakfast in the rainforest. Afterward, trek for about 3 hours, keeping an eye out for more wildlife. Enjoy lunch surrounded by the sounds of nature.
After lunch, take another 3-hour walk to your second campsite. Relax with a refreshing swim in the river or waterfall, depending on your location. Enjoy a traditional dinner around the bonfire, listening to your guide’s jungle tales. Rest up for your final trekking day!
Day 3: Final Trekking Adventure
On your last morning, enjoy a hearty breakfast at the campsite. Afterward, choose to relax at the campsite or continue trekking for 3 to 4 hours.
This final trek offers a unique chance to see up to 8 species of monkeys, including Sumatran Orangutans, Long Tail and Pig Tail Macaques, and even the rare White Handed Gibbons. You might also spot Great Argus and Hornbill birds!
After a final lunch in the jungle, end your adventure with a thrilling “jungle taxi” ride back to Bukit Lawang along the Bohorok River. Your guide will return you to your guesthouse, completing your unforgettable jungle experience!
